Fiction
“Drinking the Allegheny,” a short story, just went live in JMWW‘s Summer 2014 issue. I’m working, most days, on a novel(lla) based on this story.
“A Test of Art and Science” a flash fiction piece whose characters sparked me to write a screenplay, is forthcoming in a new print journal, Sugared Water, which is hand bound, and limited edition! Look for it in issue no. 3 or 4.
“Classic Manhattan” was selected as an honorable mention in So to Speak’s 2014 Fiction Contest. The story will be published in their Fall 2014 issue.
“Belly of a Fish,” a flash fiction piece, appears in SmokeLong Weekly for May 16, 2011. The story is illustrated by Amy Van Horn. Smokelong editors nominated the story for the Micro Award 2012.
“My Sister, The Tiger” in Fourth River September 2012. Story will also be included in The Fourth River’s “Best of” anthology forthcoming this fall.
“My Mothers Dream: Notes for a Story” in Flywheel Magazine, Issue 2.
“Laundry,” flash fiction, on (Short) Fiction Collective.
“No Sleep,” a teeny tiny story, is on Camroc Press Review.
“A Bird with One Eye” in Up the Staircase Quarterly’s Summer 2010 issue. The editors nominated it for the Dzanc Best of the Web 2011. The same story was selected as a runner up by contest judge Stewart O’Nan for the 2010 Turow-Kinder Fiction Award.
